Facility Program Specialist (full-time) to oversee and assist in the day-to- day operation of public and private facilities, located in Fort Pierce. Ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of handling inquiries, bookings, facilitation of events, recreational programming, staffing, training, and coordination/communication with government departments, civic organizations, and community liaisons. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Administrative office work, handling programming, special event permitting and scheduling. 2. Assisting in budget preparation, research which includes preparation of rates, research, revenue projections, operational expense projections, and capital improvement schedule development. 3. Scheduling facility rentals and supervising conditions of the facility such as set-up and break down of facility equipment and resources. 4. Maintaining inventory and assisting with ordering supplies and equipment. 5. Assisting in program development and public relations duties such as prep

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS: • Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction) • Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing air) • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing • Ability to enter data at a prescribed rate of speed • Ability to carry up to 20 pounds • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Ability to access file cabinets for filing and retrieval of data • Ability to sit at a desk and view a computer monitor for extended periods of time • Walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, reaching • Ability to perform first aid or CPR is helpful ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Works inside and outside in various weather conditions.

Your Experience

QUALIFICATIONS; • Knowledge of the English language including proper grammar, spelling and punctuation for document preparation and letter composition. • Knowledge of standard local government policies, practices, and procedures. • Basic understanding of food and beverage, event business practices and recreation organization and implementation. • Computer proficiency, desktop publishing, basic computer programs, telephone, fax, copier, scanning, and support equipment including, but not limited to, credit card equipment, audio visual equipment, recreational equipment, and food and beverage equipment.
