LF Staffing is looking for a temporary administrative assistant with purchasing skills for one of its clients located in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County. The ideal candidate will have experience with the procurement process, request for proposals, along with knowledge of Florida purchasing laws, policies and procedures (preferred). Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate both orally and written.
Your Day
Administrative clerical duties, assisting in the coordination and scheduling of bid openings, evaluation meetings and vendor meetings. Reviewing and verifying vendor submissions for completion and compliance. Preparing purchase orders, requisitions and related purchasing documentation. Typing, filing, research, scanning, phones, preparation of contract paperwork and other clerical work as needed.
Your Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or coursework in business administration, public administration, or related field preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or contract administration, preferably in a public agency setting.
• Knowledge of public purchasing laws, competitive bidding procedures, and basic contract terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial or procurement management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and specifications with attention to accuracy and detail.
