We are seeking an Entry-Level AutoCAD Drafter to join a dynamic engineering and design team, located in Stuart, Martin County. This is a temp to hire position through LF Staffing. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about structural, civil and marine design, drafting, and building information modeling (BIM) tools to develop their skills in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will assist in creating detailed schematics, layouts, and CAD documentation that support construction and engineering projects across various sectors. This position emphasizes growth, technical proficiency, and adherence to local and federal codes and standards and compliance. TRAINING IS PROVIDED for those looking for a career in structural, civil and marine engineering drafting.
Your Day
Prepare accurate schematics, and layout designs using AutoCAD and software.
Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret design specifications, building codes, and project requirements.
Generate detailed CAD documentation.
Training and work with senior engineers to refine designs and ensure accuracy.
Train to Utilize CAD software.
Maintain organized CAD files, version control, and documentation standards.
Assist in the development of drawings, civil, structural and marine sketches.

Your Experience
High School graduation.
Computer proficient, able to easily navigate software programs.
Technical drawing a plus.
A foundational understanding of engineering principles is a plus.
Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
Basic knowledge of building codes is a plus
Familiarity with CAD documentation standards and drafting best practices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication skills suitable for a diverse team environment.
Prior construction experience or exposure is advantageous but not mandatory.
